Dental Professionals – Formal Programs

AAPS is able to provide practitioners with four formal modules in relevant areas. Each module can be delivered in Australia and off-shore subject to negotiation. AAPS provides a high quality, personal service and numbers of attendees at each module are strictly limited. Modules 1 to 3 are non-clinical modules; Module 4 is a clinical module.
In addition, AAPS offers Module 5, a formal module for the spouses and partners of practitioners.

 

Module 1: How to get a job

This module provides practitioners with practical advice and support to assist in obtaining employment in Australia and includes topics such as; colloquial Australian, interview skills, construction of a letter of application and Curriculum Vitae, and the practicalities of admissions tests and assessment  . . . more.

Module 2: Dental Practice in Australia

This module introduces the moral, ethical and legal obligations of health practitioners in Australia. Professional Indemnity is a key component of this module. The role of professional Associations is introduced and practical sessions develop written professional skills in the context of risk management in health practice.  . . . more.

Module 3: Running a Practice

This module is aimed at health practitioners needing guidance on the practicalities of health practice in Australia. It includes elements that support both personal and professional practice such as; Professional Indemnity, Human Resources, taxation law, Occupational Health and Safety and practice purchase and management.  . . . more.

Module 4: Clinical Practice in Australia

This module is aimed at supporting existing health practitioners seeking to register in Australia. The module is aligned with the professional assessment requirements and involves intensive pre-clinical work, simulation oral exams and personal, high quality feedback on performance. In addition, practitioners are introduced to educational support opportunities within Australia. . . . more.
 

Module 5: Family Support

This module supports spouses and partners of practitioners wishing to live in Australia. The elements of this module include; educational opportunities for children, employment advice, purchase of chattels, employing locums and day-to-day living in Australia.  . . . more.
