Aims and Objectives

Module 1 allows you the opportunity to work with professional colleagues in small groups. Each Module is available to a maximum of 16 participants therefore allowing you the opportunity to develop a personal relationship and the highest level of professional support.

 
     
 

  AIMS
On completion of Module 1, participants will:
• Have an awareness of the various sources of employment within Australia and be able to access a range of these sources
• Demonstrate the requirements for letters of application for positions in Australia
• Understand the various verbal and non-verbal strategies used during interviews
• Be aware of the use of colloquial Australian within their profession
With on-line support from AAPS, participants will:
• Complete a Curriculum Vitae to support job applications
 
     

  OBJECTIVES
In order to achieve these aims, Module 1 will:
• Provide an overview of employment opportunities within Australia
• Support participants in constructing an example of a letter of application and provide group feedback
• Record ‘mock’ interviews and provide group and individual feedback
• Require participants to participate in a professional discussion and provide feedback on verbal and non-verbal communication
• Commence construction of a Curriculum Vitae with on-line support over the following month to ensure completion
