Aims and Objectives

Module 2 allows you the opportunity to work with professional colleagues in small groups. Each Module is available to a maximum of 16 participants therefore allowing you the opportunity to develop a personal relationship and the highest level of professional support. This Module will be specific to dentistry.

 
     
 

  AIMS

On completion of Module 2, participants will assist participants in:
Being able to describe professional legislation and regulatory structures for dentistry in Australia
Being able to apply this knowledge to individual situations
Understanding the role of Professional Associations
Being aware of professional Codes of Ethics
Applying risk management strategies to professional practice
Understanding and demonstrating comprehensive record keeping
 
     

  OBJECTIVES

In order to achieve these aims, Module 2 will:
Provide an overview of professional legislation and regulatory structures in Australia
Support participants in applying theory to professional scenarios
Introduce Professional Associations
Require participants to review and discuss professional Codes of Ethics
Summarise risk management in contemporary professional practice
Provide written records for review and discussion by participants
