Aims and Objectives

Module 3 allows you the opportunity to work with professional colleagues in small groups. Each Module is available to a maximum of 16 participants therefore allowing you the opportunity to develop a personal relationship and the highest level of professional support. This Module will be specific to your profession.

 
     
 

  AIMS

On completion of Module 3, participants will assist participants in:
Understanding the various types of professional practice in Australia
Having an awareness of Human Resource issues in professional practice
Being aware of the various structures for purchase of professional practices
Understanding the role of accountancy in professional practice
Being able to apply taxation law to professional practice
Demonstrating skills in professional practice management
Being able to apply Occupational Health and Safety requirements in professional practice (including Infection Control in the Health professions Module)
Understanding the various types of professional insurance available
 
     

  OBJECTIVES

In order to achieve these aims, Module 3 will:
Provide an overview of professional practice in Australia
Provide an overview of Human Resources in professional practice and provide the opportunity to apply this knowledge to professional scenarios
Provide examples for practice purchase and management
Provide an overview of taxation law and link this to accountancy requirements
Provide guidance on Occupational Health and Safety requirements (including Infection Control in professional health practice)
Summarise insurance options in professional practice
Require participants to incorporate developing knowledge in a range of professional scenarios
