Aims and Objectives

Module 4 allows you the opportunity to work with professional colleagues in small groups. Each Module is available to a maximum of 16 participants therefore allowing you the opportunity to develop a personal relationship and the highest level of professional support. This Module will be specific to your profession.

 
     
 

  AIMS

On completion of Module 4, participants will:
Understand the professional examination process
Understand the techniques used in professional assessment
Have completed examples of the requirements for the pre-clinical elements (Restorative and Endodontics) of the professional assessment program
Have completed a periodontal assessment and undertaken quadrant scaling on their clinical partner
Have administered infiltration and mandibular block anaesthesia on their clinical partner
Have participated in practice viva voce examinations in Paedodontics, Oral Surgery and Oral Diagnosis
Have participated in individual feedback on performance
Have an awareness of strengths and limitations
Be able to apply Occupational Health and Safety requirements in professional practice (including Infection Control in the Health professions Module)
 
     

  OBJECTIVES

In order to achieve these aims, Module 4 will:
Provide a simulated professional examination over days 1-4
Provide individual and group feedback
Provide opportunities for individual remediation according to needs on day 5
Provide integrated guidance on Occupational Health and Safety requirements (including Infection Control in professional health practice)
